Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that beauty blenders are everything in the makeup world, and have been for the last few years. I was gifted an Amazon gift card and had about $10 left on it. A girl can always use a new beauty blender, so I looked up some dupes. I came across “Emax Design” 2 pack beauty blenders for $9.99. It has 4.5 star reviews so I thought I’d give it a try.
When I first opened the box, I thought these beauty blenders looked a little bigger than the original beauty blender. Not a huge deal, just something I noticed right away. I then went to soak it under running water, as you would with the original, and it was extremely dense. I soaked it just a little more to try and soften it up but I had no luck. I then tried to blend out my foundation with this Emax Design beauty blender and it felt like I was hitting my face with a rubber ball. The density makes it hard to actually blend out foundation in a comfortable motion. Unlike the original beauty blender, this did not feel effortless and easy. Although the price is great and this package comes with 2 “beauty blenders”, I have to say that it was not for me. I rather pay the extra $10 and buy the original that is soft, comfortable and blends out my foundation perfectly!
Another “dupe” that I have tried is the Real Techniques Beauty Blender, and that one is actually very similar to the original and less in price so if you’re looking for something cheaper, definitely go for that one. Thanks for reading! Xo
