Color Concealing 101

Hi my sweet readers!

Today we are talking about color concealing. I literally had to scroll down all my blog posts to see if I’ve talked about this because I seriously can’t believe that I haven’t talked about this yet!

Color concealing is one of my favorite makeup tricks. It’s basically using specific color concealers for different purposes. Have redness in your face (near your nostrils, pimples, red dots on your face) then use a green and/or yellow concealer. Have blues, greens in your under eye area? Use peach concealers to hide that! If you have white sun spots on your face like I do, the brown color corrector works perfectly for hiding those spots.

I would first recommend getting the NYX Color Correcting palette. It’s affordable ($11.99) and my absolute favorite product to use to color correct. With this palette, you can throw it in your purse or makeup bag and know that you’ll have every color you need in order to create that flawless, even skin tone we all wish for.

My most used color in the palette is the peach concealer to hide the blue/green in the inner corner of my eyes and my under eye area. I secondly use the green concealer for the red spots and redness I get around my nostrils. Color correcting is a life saver and I highly recommend it. Please drop a comment if you have any questions! I hope this blog post has helped you understand color correcting a bit more than you did before.
